CADI’s story began with a vision to create an international school in Panama with strong connections to German language, culture and education. In 2016, that vision became a reality with the opening of Colegio Alemán Nikolaus Kopernikus–Panamá, built from the beginning around a trilingual approach to English, German and Spanish.
During its early years, the school strengthened its connections with Germany and international education, including cooperation with German educational organizations and opportunities for students to pursue recognized German-language qualifications.
In 2022, the school entered a new chapter under new ownership and leadership and became Colegio Alemán del Istmo (CADI). Building on its German and international foundations, CADI expanded its vision as a trilingual, internationally focused school serving students from Preschool through Grade 12.
Today, CADI continues to evolve while remaining true to its international roots. Through English, German and Spanish, strong academics, intercultural experiences, entrepreneurship and leadership, we prepare students with the knowledge, confidence and skills to succeed in an increasingly connected world.
